VirtualSignature-ID initially achieved its status as a UK Government accredited Identity Service Provider (IDSP) in December 2022 and this has now been renewed for a further two years. Conformance to DIATF is overseen by OfDIA, The Office for Digital Identities and Attributes and certification is seen as a demonstration of good governance, robust information security management and reliable and secure technology solutions for Qualified eSignatures, Right to Work and Right to Rent identity verification.
ISO27001:2022 is an internationally recognised accreditation that requires adherence to standards for the implementation of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) so that the confidentiality, integrity and availability of personal and other sensitive information is protected. Businesses with this accreditation have demonstrated a commitment to safeguarding the data they process by implementing a number of documented procedures including staff training, quality management, internal audits and risk assessments.
Finally, the combination of ISO29115 and ISO29003 draws together two international standards for identity proofing, designed to ensure fairness, accuracy and accessibility during the identity verification process whilst minimising risk to personal data.
